Courtney

Courtney Luoma is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife who has been a leading women’s health advocate and expert in natural childbirth in the Permian Basin for over a decade. She is passionate about helping women have empowering childbirth experiences, and is known for her commitment to physiological birth and supporting women throughout their lifespan with a holistic approach to care. She has dedicated her career to providing high-quality and personalized care to her clients, which has earned her the reputation as one of the best midwives in Midland and Odessa.

Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has undergone extensive training in nurse midwifery and has attended over 400 deliveries throughout her career. She has helped countless women and families navigate the complexities of pregnancy and childbirth with knowledge, expertise, and compassion.

Along with founding The Birth Center of Midland, Courtney is the co-founder of Nurture Me Birth Services, a doula collective. These organizations have been instrumental in bringing natural childbirth options to women in the Permian Basin. She is committed to providing women with the resources, support, and education they need to make informed decisions about their health and the health of their babies. This dedication to women’s health has earned her numerous accolades and community awards.

She has lived in Midland for 18 years. She and her husband, Nathan, are raising two beautiful children and are active in the MCA community.
