Late July, I was feeling big, sweaty, and so over it. 

I have never in my life had a medical provider who cared so much for my well being. 

Katy asked if I wanted to be checked and I agreed, mentally preparing myself for a low dilation number. To my surprise she stated I was at an 8 almost 9!

“Nope, you’re complete. We’re not going anywhere. We are having the baby here.” 

They were always there when we needed them but respected our wishes for a more hands-off approach when desired.

One appointment and milestone at a time, I built a lasting relationship with the ladies at The Birth Center. 

My husband and the midwives became my anchors, reminding me of my strength when I couldn’t feel it myself.

I could feel the head crowning, and told Shem I was going to have the baby in the vehicle. 

I was so grateful to see someone taking such great and passionate care of me.

I was so relaxed and cozy and soon after I got in the tub, they offered Isaak to get in with me and I was able to lean on him.

In that moment I felt overwhelmed and doubted my ability. With encouragement I went to the bed and after 3 pushes my beautiful baby boy was born.

Katy told me to try tiny pushes and let her stretch me, which I was able to do! And it actually kept me from tearing!

It was everything I hoped for and more: calm, empowering, and deeply personal.

At 7 am I called The Birth Center and since I live an hour away and had a very fast birth with my daughter. They wanted me to come in right away.

The room was warm and inviting, the tub was filling up, and to my surprise, we were in the same room where I had delivered Evie...

Choosing The Midland Birth Center was the best decision I could’ve made. If I could go back in time, I’d 100% choose to give birth to my first son there instead of the hospital.

Before my nurse could get on her gloves, I delivered my beautiful baby unassisted with my own two hands.

Giving birth at The Birth Center was the most beautiful and empowering experience of my life.

The peacefulness after baby was born to just soak up all that had happened and then head home... was so wonderful.

I would have a contraction then eat dinner, have another and then put my children to bed. It was magical...
