Laura

Laura Smith has a Bachelors in Finance from Texas A&M University. Orginally from Austin, she has 12 years of experience in corporate finance at Dell Technologies, where she served as an internal auditor and controller. Managing a birth center is a dream job!

 

Since her first pregnancy eight years ago, Laura is has been constantly learning about physiological birth.  After 3 empowering, unmedicated births of her own (with Courtney in the room as either her doula or midwife), she has had a passion for discussing pregnancy and birth with other women. As the business director, she is thrilled to be helping women have the empowering birth experiences they deserve.  She is a firm believer that everyone needs to be their own advocate and find providers and practices that support their goals and growth. 

 

Laura has lived in Midland for eight years, raising three awesome kids alongside her husband, Peter.  She is active in their Midland Montessori community as well as coaching basketball and soccer.
