Ultrasounds
Ultrasounds are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays at The Birth Center. Ultrasounds are performed by a Registered Sonographer and, when needed, read by our collaboarting physician, a local OB.
Types of Ultrasounds
Diagnostic Pregnancy
If you are a client at The Birth Center. All pregnancy ultrasounds will be at The Birth Center and scheduled for you by our team. You can expect one ultrasound per trimester, though we may perform additional ultrasounds if additional monitoring or follow-up is needed.
4D Recreational
We offer 4D Recreational Ultrasounds to both our clients and others in the community. Our 4D recreational ultrasounds are ideal between 25 - 32 weeks gestation but can be done as early as 16 weeks to determine gender or as late as 34 weeks to get one last glimpse of baby’s face and movement. In order to participate in a recreational session, you need to have a current provider (doctor or midwife) for your pregnancy. These sessions are not diagnositc and images will not be read by a radiologist or physician.

Gyn or Fertility
We can perform gynecological ultrasounds or fertility scans (follicle studies). We will need a physician's orders to perform these. The results will be faxed to your physician who can read and review them. Please call to schedule: 432-203-4226.
