Our Certified Nurse Midwives
Courtney Luoma, APRN, CNM | Owner & Nurse Midwife
Courtney Luoma is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife who has been a leading women's health advocate and expert in natural childbirth in the Permian Basin for over a decade. She is passionate about helping women have empowering childbirth experiences, and is known for her commitment to physiological birth and supporting women throughout their lifespan with a holistic approach to care. Courtney has dedicated her career to providing high-quality and personalized care to her clients, which has earned her the reputation as one of the best midwives in Midland and Odessa. Courtney has spent eleven years as a Registered Nurse and since 2021, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery Studies, from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Jamie Garza is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife. She obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery Studies from Texas Tech University HSC. Jamie has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years in Labor & Delivery in both local and out of state hospitals. She will tell you, "she's seen it all." She has a passion for supporting moms in physiological birth and advocating for them and their birth plan. Jamie has received training in Spinning Babies and is well-versed in helping labor progress, bringing baby down and ultimately delivering. She is a birth midwife in the birth center and is also our primary home birth midwife.

Katy Harrington, APRN, CNM, WHNP | Nurse Midwife
Katy Harrington is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery Studies from Georgetown University, last year, after working in labor and delivery at local hospitals. She keeps our clinic running smoothly and attends births. She loves walking with women through their pregnancy journeys and their overall health. She says supporting women and their birth goals in this supportive environment is a dream.
Our Registered Nurses
Cortni Sanderson is a Registered Nurse and IBCLC Certified Lactation Consultant offering one-on-one lactation support for moms. After graduating from Texas Tech, she began her career in nursing. Since 2017, she has been a labor and delivery nurse, helping women through birth. She decided to expand into lactation consulting in 2021. Her own pregnancies, breastfeeding journey and son's allergies have given her a passion for helping women breastfeed. This time in a women's life can be incredibly rewarding, but sometimes, difficult. She loves being able to give women support when they need it most, as a lactation consultant.

Jenny Townsend, RN | Birth Assistant & Clinic Nurse
Jenny Townsend has been a Registered Nurse of 15 years, Certified Birth Doula, and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. She holds a Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. Jenny has been a doula in the Permian Basin since 2014 and has completed the Texas DSHS Trained Breastfeeding Educator program. She is a leader in childbirth education in the Permian Basin, bringing the first natural childbirth class to the area over seven years ago. She is passionate about equipping mothers with education to promote empowering birth experiences. She is both a clinic nurse and a birth assistant.

Laura Smith | Business Director
Laura has a Bachelors in Finance from Texas A&M University. She has 12 years of experience in corporate finance at Dell Technologies. At Dell, she has served as an internal auditor and controller. Since her first pregnancy seven years ago, Laura is constantly learning about physiological birth. After 3 beautiful, empowering, unmedicated births, she has a passion for discussing pregnancy and birth with other women. As the business director, so is thrilled to be helping women have the empowering birth experiences they deserve. Managing a birth center is a dream job!
