Tahliya's Story

Having had my first son, Leo, in a hospital at 19, I walked away from that experience knowing I wanted something different—something better—if I ever had another baby. The hospital environment made me feel unheard, rushed, and like just another number. So I made a vow: next time, I’d do it naturally, and I’d do it my way.

Fast forward nine years, and that next baby turned out to be Cash. Choosing The Midland Birth Center was hands-down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I felt respected and genuinely cared for. The midwives listened. They understood that every birth is unique, and they treated mine that way—never trying to squeeze me into a one-size-fits-all model.

I arrived at the center at 7 cm, had Cash three hours later, and was peacefully back home just two hours after that. It was everything I hoped for and more: calm, empowering, and deeply personal.

Since then, I’ve already recommended The Birth Center to two of my friends who are now patients there—and I won’t hesitate to go back for my next (and last!) baby. After experiencing birth this way, I know I can do it again—and I will.
